We regularly monitor 40+ databases (and the list is growing) that make money selling your personal data. As a customer, when we find your data on exposed like this we'll let you know, and then let you decide whether you want to keep your information listed in this database or opt-out. If you choose to opt-out, you have nothing else you need to do-- we handle the opt-out process for you, automatically.

• How quickly does it work?

When you first sign-up we perform an initial, comprehensive scan of these websites for your data, and continue to monitor them regularly every month on your behalf. When you elect to "protect yourself", we will complete the opt-out process for you. Different databases have differrent speeds at which they unlist your data, in some cases it may be instaneous and in others it may take a week or so. In either case, we constantly monitor the opt-out progress and let you know if we encounter any problems.
