How is AB375 different from GDPR?

AB375 has some notible differences as compared to GDPR legislation:

  • AB375 requires you to support Power Of Attorney (POA) based requests and have an IVR for handling privacy requests.
  • Fines are different with maximum being virtual unlimited ("or damanages")
  • Applied to any one with $25M in sales, or 50K contacts in their marketing/customer database
